Respiratory viruses commonly cause illness like the flu, COVID-19, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), especially in the fall and winter. You can take actions to protect yourself and others and learn if any viruses are spreading in your community.

State and territory human services and emergency management partners can find training and resources on the Repatriation Technical Assistance Center (TAC) website. The site also supports OHSEPR’s efforts to build a community of practice for emergency and routine repatriation partners.

OHSEPR identifies eight capabilities that state, tribal, local, and territorial organizations can use to coordinate key human services functions after a disaster. This playbook outlines key actions and approaches for each capability so that agencies can provide comprehensive and responsive services to disaster survivors and communities.

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) promotes the resilience of vulnerable individuals, children, families, and communities. Programs within ACF provide disaster human services expertise to grantees, partners, and stakeholders during emergency and disaster incident preparedness, response, and recovery operations.

The Office of Community Services (OCS) has grant recipients who provide direct services to individuals and families in cities and towns across the country. The OCS Disaster Flexibilities Hub provides a one-stop shop for all the information to help these organizations start to prepare for or respond to a disaster using OCS funding.
