Introduction
In May 2017, OPRE funded three cooperative agreements for 18 months to Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Lead Agencies to develop a research-based evaluation plan of the implementation of policies and initiatives in response to the goals of the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 2014. In November 2018, OPRE awarded grants to two of the grantees who had planning grants to implement their research plan.
During the period of this grant, CCDF Lead Agencies will refine their research and evaluation plans with their research partners (either within their organization or with an outside partner) and implement their research projects. They will clearly articulate the policies they are examining and are expected to disseminate their findings broadly to both research and policy audiences. These grants are for 4 years.
