This Year in Review highlights the Family Self-Sufficiency and Stability Research Consortium’s individual and collective efforts to make meaningful contributions to the family self-sufficiency and stability field in 2015.

The stated goal of the Consortium is to improve the lives of low-income families and children by integrating research, policy, and practice on family self-sufficiency and stability. The Consortium consists of the following
projects:

  • Advancing Welfare and Family Self-Sufficiency Research Project, which provides timely and flexible research and evaluation support to a variety of ACF stakeholders;
  • The Family Self-Sufficiency and Stability Research Scholars Network, a multi-disciplinary collaborative of seven university-based scholars investigating critical issues in family self-sufficiency and stability through independent and collective research; and;
  • The Family Self-Sufficiency Data Center, which provides technical support to states and builds state capacity for high-quality data management, linkage, and analysis.
