Introduction
The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, originally designed as a framework intended to provide employment services to individuals with serious mental health illness, has gained interest as a strategy to serve a broader population. IPS programs at three Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Illinois, New Hampshire, and North Carolina, respectively, provide employment services to individuals with a range of mental health and substance use disorders. The Building Evidence on Employment Strategies (BEES) project is conducting an evaluation of these IPS programs to see whether and how individuals receiving IPS services in this environment benefit from the model.
Purpose
This profile provides basic background information about the three FQHC sites, the IPS FQHC study, and the analysis to be conducted as part of the BEES project.
Key Findings and Highlights
Findings from this analysis are expected to be released in 2025.
Methods
The BEES project team drafted this study profile based on information shared during regular communications between the BEES project team and IPS FQHC study program leaders to guide the design and implementation of the IPS FQHC study as well as interviews conducted during site visits to the program sites. Each program site reviewed and commented on the study profile.
