The Parents and Children Together (PACT) evaluation included a large-scale, random assignment examination of two federally funded Healthy Marriage (HM) programs serving low-income couples that received grants in 2011. As part of the PACT HM impact study, the study team randomly assigned 1,595 eligible couples, dividing them between either (1) a program group, which was offered HM services, or (2) a control group, which was not offered these services.
This report provides documentation to accompany the PACT HM impact study restricted use data collection that will be archived at the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). The restricted use data collection contains five files: (1) the baseline survey raw data file, (2) the 12-month survey raw data file, (3) the program participation file, (4) the 12-month follow-up analysis file and (5) the file containing analysis weights.
The report describes the PACT HM study, including evaluation design and data collection. Later chapters provide information on study methodology and sampling, describe the measurement tools used in the PACT HM study, and inventory the data files used in the PACT HM data collection. A set of appendices to this document provides survey data instruments and codebooks for the program participation file, the 12-month follow-up analysis file and the file containing analysis weights. Codebooks for the 12-month survey raw data file can be made available upon request. Please contact APatnaik@mathematica-mpr.com.
