Key Findings and Highlights
The literature review identified factors associated with a positive organizational culture and the potential implications for service delivery and staff and client experiences. This infographic summarizes those facets of an agency’s organizational culture that can facilitate positive experiences:
- Set clear and consistent program goals: Clearly stating and frequently reiterating the agency’s overall mission; ensuring performance goals align with that mission.
- Encourage innovation: Piloting new service delivery approaches and providing staff opportunities for dialogue and constructive performance feedback when implementing new processes.
- Prioritize staff development and empowerment: Using training to reinforce technical expertise and staff understanding of agency goals and giving frontline staff autonomy to exercise discretion to better serve clients.
- Create a client-centered focus: Creating welcoming office environments that promote transparency about processes and set client expectations while simplifying processes and workflows.
