RIViR Practice Brief: Evidence for Understanding How Healthy Relationship Programs May Influence Intimate Partner Violence

Publication Date: December 15, 2016

Introduction

This brief, developed for organizations implementing healthy relationship programming, provides a summary of research/theory on how healthy relationship program participation could affect intimate partner violence and teen dating violence. Specifically, the brief describes how those effects might occur, and how they might differ for different groups of adults and youth.

The brief condenses the research presented in the paper “Healthy Relationship Program Influences: Evidence for Understanding how Healthy Relationship Programs May Influence Intimate Partner Violence,” which is the third in a series of papers from the RIViR project.
