Project Overview

The Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) Implementation Research and Evaluation Grants program provides CCDF Lead Agencies the opportunity to (1) plan for and (2) evaluate initiatives and policies related to the CCDBG Act of 2014.

  • Phase I grants (18-months) were awarded to CCDF Lead Agencies to develop a research and evaluation plan. The first cohort (Phase I/Cohort 1) includes 8 CCDF Lead Agencies awarded in September 2016. The second cohort (Phase I/Cohort 2) includes 3 CCDF Lead agencies awarded in May 2017.
  • Phase II grants (4-years) were awarded to Phase I grantees to refine their research and evaluation plan and implement their research project. The first cohort (Phase II/Cohort 1) includes 4 CCDF Lead Agencies awarded in March 2018. The second cohort (Phase II/Cohort 2) includes 2 CCDF Lead Agencies awarded in November 2018.
