This report summarizes short-term impact findings from rural high schools in Kentucky implementing an adapted version of Reducing the Risk, a comprehensive sex education program. The study findings indicate that the adapted version of Reducing the Risk had short-term impacts on some but not all of the program’s targeted outcomes.

This report represents the final synthesis of the Behavioral Interventions to Advance Self-Sufficiency project. Overall, the project’s findings demonstrated that applying behavioral insights to challenges facing human services programs can improve program efficiency, operations, and outcomes at a relatively low cost.
