Introduction

This is the second of nine modules in the Continuous Quality Improvement Toolkit: A Resource for Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program Awardees (CQI Toolkit). The toolkit supports MIECHV awardees and others in working with local agencies to build capacity in CQI. Modules may be delivered individually by CQI staff or as part of a multiday training activity.

Module 2 helps participants—

  • Define quality data and understand the importance of data in CQI
  • Learn how to identify topics for CQI projects
  • Understand how to use data to inform CQI work

As with all modules in the CQI Toolkit, Module 2 contains a facilitation guide, PowerPoint slides with facilitation notes, and handouts and activities for participants. For example, Module 2 includes an activity on developing run charts to visualize data over time. Use the box to the right to access the module components.
