Introduction

This webinar presents findings on children’s cultural and language experiences in Head Start classrooms, at home, and in the community from the American Indian and Alaska Native Family and Child Experiences Survey of 2015 (AIAN FACES 2015). AIAN FACES 2015 is a rich source of information about Region XI Head Start children and families, including demographic characteristics and home environments. This webinar shares information about the study background, the planning for the study including the goals, design, and participants, select findings from the study about cultural and language experiences of Region XI children, and the perspective of a Region XI Head Start director and AIAN FACES Workgroup member.
