Emerging Issues in Early Childhood Professional Development

This presentation aims to provide a brief overview of emerging issues in early childhood professional development (ECPD) as follows: 1) Changing conceptualization of ECPD, 2) Need for work focusing explicitly on quality of higher education and training, 3) Need for common definitions, 4) The missing methods subsection in research on on-site individualized ECPD, 5) Need for research at the program and systems as well as classroom levels.
