Nikki Hatch

Regional Administrator, Region 8

Nikki Hatch serves as the regional administrator (RA) for the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) for Region 8, which includes Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.  

As RA, Hatch supports state and local innovation efforts in human services, helping to identify and catalyze Two Generation/Whole Family approaches that support parents and children together to rise out of poverty towards family self-sufficiency. She provides leadership and collaboration across ACF programs as well as other federal agencies, state and local governments, non-profit and faith-based organizations, academic institutions, and philanthropy.

Hatch is a member of the inaugural class of the Ascend at the Aspen Institute’s Colorado Children and Families Health and Human Services Fellowship.

Prior to joining ACF, Hatch served as the deputy executive director and chief of staff at the Colorado Department of Human Services, where she guided the creation of C-Stat, a performance management approach that identifies and drives measurable improvements in outcomes across all programs. Hatch's professional background includes being appointed the first director of Performance and Quality Assurance with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, serving in the Wisconsin State Budget Office, and working for the City of Oakland, serving the Oakland Police Department as chief of research, planning and crime analysis.

Hatch earned a BA in Sociology from Macalester College and a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley.  She lives in Denver and is the proud parent of two teenagers.
