Nonprofit Management Essentials Event
On September 25, 2024, region 3 ORO hosted an all-day training Nonprofit Management Essentials at the Region 3 office. The training was taught by an instructor from Temple University Harrisburg Campus. As part of the region’s economic mobility strategy, this was the third in a series of capacity-building events for nonprofit and faith-based organizations. The Nonprofit Management Essentials session was an opportunity for participants to gain critical skills in managing and leading nonprofit organizations. There were 26 individuals from five organizations in the greater Philadelphia area in attendance.
The participants learned best practices in fundraising, financial oversight, and board governance, along with strategies for effectively engaging volunteers and stakeholders. The training also covered program evaluation techniques and leadership development, enabling participants to strengthen their organization’s operational efficiency and community impact.
