Welcome Corps: How Americans Are Expanding US Resettlement Efforts

USCIS announced it will consider two-year extensions of the initial parole period on a case-by-case basis for certain Afghan nationals under age 14. By maintaining parole, the minors would keep eligibility for essential benefits, including those offered by ORR.

ORR grant recipients may continue to provide ORR-funded benefits and services to eligible Afghan parolees, who have a pending application for re-parole, asylum, or adjustment of immigration status with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, even if their initial period of parole has expired.
