GENERAL BACKGROUND

The Division of Refugee Services (DRS) provides assistance through public and private non-profit agencies to support the economic and social integration of refugees, asylees, certain Amerasian immigrants, Cuban and Haitian Entrants, and Victims of Human Trafficking (henceforth referred to collectively as “refugees”). The division administers the Voluntary Agency Match Grant Program and seven competitive refugee social services discretionary grant programs. Discretionary grants are awarded on a competitive basis.
