ORR explains new categories of guidance and informational documents issued to stakeholders and the public.

ORR announces a new Documentation Guide that outlines: (1) the statuses and documents that confer eligibility for Refugee Resettlement Program benefits; (2) the documentation that is needed to show an individual is eligible; and (3) a suggested process for making eligibility determinations.

ORR clarifies language I-94s issued to certain Haitians paroled by ICE and advises on proper handling of such cases.

In-Country Refugee/Parole Program for Children in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras with Parents Lawfully Present in the United States – Eligibility for ORR Benefits and Services

State Letter 15-01
ORR discusses the Central American Minors Program or CAM program and explains the eligibility for ORR benefits and services of children entering the U.S. under the Program.

Both Afghan Special Immigrants admitted to the U.S. under Section 602, Division F, Pub. L. No. 111-08, and tunder Section 1059 of the NDAAare eligible for 8 months of ORR benefits and services from date of entry or date of adjustment if applying domestically.

Stipulates that Iraqi/Afghan Special Immigrants are eligible for ORR benefits/services up to 8 months rather than 6 months from date of admission to U.S. Supersedes State Letter # 08-04.

This State Letter provides information regarding current SSA verification procedures for refugees, asylees, Cuban/Haitian entrants, and victims of a severe form of trafficking.
