Additional Fiscal Year 2016 Funding

Dear Colleague:

Many states have experienced a significant increase in the number of arrivals in fiscal year (FY) 2016, particularly in the fourth quarter. To support state efforts and on-going services, ORR will provide an additional Refugee Social Services (RSS) allocation. This funding will be a one-time FY 2016 allocation.

To meet the needs of these fourth quarter arrivals, states may use RSS funding for additional services, such as transitional housing assistance, under 45 CFR 400.155(h).  For more information on the use of RSS funding for additional services under 45 CFR 400.155(h), please see Policy Letter 16-07.

We appreciate all of your work to support the growing populations over the course of the past year and trust that this allocation will benefit these efforts and those you serve.
