OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES
FROM: Lavinia Limon, Director
Office of Refugee Resettlement
SUBJECT: Notice of Availability of FY 2000 Discretionary Funds for Refugee Community and Family Strengthening and Integration
ORR is pleased to announce an opportunity for new Community and Family Strengthening and Integration (CFSI) projects. As in previous grant years, ORR encourages partnerships and coalitions of local organizations working together to assist refugees in their resettlement process. Your help in getting the notice out to refugee service providers is appreciated.
The deadline for applications is July 5, 2000.
A wide variety of projects may be entertained since the program is designed to be responsive to refugees' needs. Also note that ORR plans to award one Technical Assistance cooperative agreement under this announcement.
Please note that current CFSI projects (awarded in FY 1999) need not compete under this announcement to request a continuation of their grants.
