The U.S. Department of State has issued a Request for Information to receive input from the public for its 2024 Trafficking in Persons Report.
The department welcomes comments from those in the anti-trafficking field, whose contributions are essential to the report. Here are topics of special interest for the annual report:
- Emerging trends in human trafficking
- Successes or challenges in prosecution, victim identification and protection, and prevention efforts, as well as lessons learned
- Trafficking in underserved communities: Are laws enforced equitably? Do all have equal access to services? Do any policies further marginalize groups that are overrepresented among trafficking victims?
- Examples of innovation, technology, and ground-breaking anti-trafficking practices that have made a difference in your community or impacted broader anti-trafficking efforts
Responses may take the form of written comments, charts, surveys, or reports. Please submit your comments and materials, including a point of contact, by 5 p.m. Eastern Time, February 1, 2024. The State Department also welcomes your best materials from public awareness campaigns.
