Definitions and Principles of Human Trafficking Prevention

The purpose of this information memorandum (IM) is to enhance common understanding of foundational principles of prevention in order to promote increased efforts to prevent all forms of human trafficking. The IM describes key concepts for organizations and communities to consider when integrating prevention strategies, approaches, and services into anti-trafficking efforts. The IM also provides a framework for the development of national, state, tribal, and local collaborations to prevent human trafficking.
