Program Instruction: Federal Requirements for Reporting and Responding to Human Trafficking of Children
This Program Instruction (PI) provides guidance on federal requirements for reporting and responding to concerns of potential human trafficking of children. Some requirements apply directly to award recipients of the Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS); whereas others may have implications for mandatory reporters, government officials, and/or child welfare agencies working directly or indirectly with OTIP award recipients.
