These images produced through the HHS Look Beneath the Surface campaign can be used in human trafficking public awareness and outreach material. The images can be customized for your community by including your own logo, using your own images, or selecting an alternate photo from our free library of images.
This poster provides language and imagery of a trafficking situation that may be broadly applicable to foreign national youth individuals who are at risk of, currently experiencing, or who have experienced human trafficking or other abusive situations. The poster also provides contact information to the National Human Trafficking Hotline and a QR code with additional resources.
In 2008, the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation(ASPE) sponsored a national symposium focused on the health needs of human trafficking victims. Ten years later, ASPE partnered with the ACF Office on Trafficking in Persons to convene a follow-up symposium to reflect on how far the health service response to human trafficking has evolved.
The ATLIS project will provide up to $20,000 plus technical assistance and capacity-building support for 10 survivor-led organizations, collaboratives, and community groups.
