The HHS Office on Trafficking in Persons issued ten new grant awards under the Look Beneath the Surface Regional Anti-Trafficking (LBS) Program. The grantees and their partners will serve fourteen states to increase direct outreach to individuals who are experiencing or may have experienced human trafficking, increase training to local organizations and professionals who may interact with potential victims of trafficking, strengthen multi-disciplinary responses to trafficking, and conduct strategic public awareness activities. Programs will range from outreach efforts to agricultural workers and individuals with opiate addiction to public awareness efforts that address the demand for human trafficking.
