The National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center (NHTTAC) delivers training and technical assistance (T/TA) to inform and enhance the public health response to human trafficking.
By applying a public health approach, NHTTAC holistically builds the capacity of communities to identify and respond to the complex needs of all survivors of human trafficking and address the root causes that make individuals, families, and communities vulnerable to trafficking. Survivors and those at risk of human trafficking need coordinated and trauma-informed services before, during, and after their trafficking exploitation, regardless of their age, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, or type of exploitation.
Medical and behavioral health practitioners, nonprofits, community- and faith-based organizations, licensed social workers, child welfare professionals, housing authorities, and public health agencies can provide comprehensive and survivor-informed services by building their skills and knowledge with NHTTAC.
NHTTAC is committed to building the health and human services capacity of professionals to:
Reduce the vulnerabilities of those most at risk of human trafficking
Increase victim identification and access to trauma-informed services for all survivors
Strengthen short-, medium-, and long-term health and well being of survivors of human trafficking
NHTTAC collaborates with communities across the United States to deliver training that is coordinated, innovative, and results driven. We work in partnership with a network of nationally recognized subject matter experts, survivor leaders, organizations, and providers who are at the forefront of delivering training and technical assistance that addresses the diverse range of needs of survivors, their families, and those most at risk of human trafficking.
