Project Description: The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will assist 128 Choctaw individuals and/or families to manage their money and credit wisely.  The Choctaw Nation will empower program participants in regular savings toward a major asset (1st home, post-secondary education, or small business capitalization) through Individual Development Accounts, thus helping them take strong steps to break free from generational poverty, increase family stability, and achieve long-term economic self-sufficiency.

Grantee: Northwest Native Development Fund

Project Description: The project's goal is to develop and implement an asset building program that enables tribal members of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and the Spokane Tribe to build personal financial management and small business skills and acquire assets that lead to economic self-sufficiency and an improved quality of life. The assets available to IDA holders will be for home purchases and business capitalization.
