Resource Centers provide T&TA in specific focus areas with the goal of helping agencies, managers, family and juvenile courts, and other child welfare professionals better serve children and families.
- Child Welfare Capacity Building Collaborative — A partnership among three centers—the Center for States, Center for Tribes, and Center for Courts. This new structure is designed to help child welfare agencies and courts in states, tribes, and territories to build capacity and improve practice. The Collaborative delivers three types of outcome-driven services.
- AdoptUSKids — Raises public awareness about the need for foster and adoptive families to assist states, tribes, territories, and courts in their efforts to recruit and retain foster, adoptive, and kinship families and connect them with waiting children throughout the United States.
- National Center for Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) FRIENDS — Provides training and technical assistance to Federally funded CBCAP programs.
- National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare (NCSACW) — An initiative of the Department of Health and Human Services and jointly funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) and the Administration on Children, Youth and Families (ACYF), Children's Bureau's Office on Child Abuse and Neglect (OCAN). The NCSACW aims to improve family recovery, safety and stability by advancing practices and collaboration among agencies, organizations and courts working with families affected by substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders and child abuse or neglect.
