RE: REVISED INSTRUCTIONS - The U.S. Office of Child Support Enforcement Intergovernmental Reference Guide
SUPERSEDES: IDCL-12-01
Dear International Colleague:
The United States Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) maintains child support contact and policy information on the online Intergovernmental Reference Guide (IRG), previously known as the Intergovernmental Referral Guide. To assist our international colleagues in accessing this information, we published user instructions in an International Dear Colleague Letter on March 19, 2012 (IDCL-12-01). In August 2012, OCSE redesigned the IRG website. Therefore, we are issuing new user instructions that will supersede IDCL-12-01.
The IRG offers online access to child support information for all U.S. states, territories, and tribes with child support programs. The IRG also provides contact information for all foreign reciprocating countries (FRCs), which are countries with which the U.S. has a reciprocal agreement. Information on the IRG is updated on a regular basis and is available to anyone with internet access.
The IRG also offers additional state and tribal contact information in a password protected area of the website. FRCs that would like access to this information may contact us at ocseinternational@acf.hhs.gov to request a user name and password.
We hope that you will find the IRG a useful tool. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact us at ocseinternational@acf.hhs.gov.
Thank you for your efforts to ensure that children involved in international cases receive child support.
Sincerely,
Vicki Turetsky
