A young woman peeks around a treeThe Federal Strategic Action Plan on Services for Victims of Human Trafficking in the United States was developed in 2013 by the President’s Interagency Task Force to amplify the federal response to human trafficking. The plan contains a strategy to assist victims of human trafficking in the United States in gaining access to the tools and services they need to escape exploitation and rebuild their lives.

As part of the implementation of that plan, FYSB awarded three demonstration grants, in St. Lake City, UT, Brooklyn, NY, and Phoenix, AZ, in FY15 to increase the availability of coordinated case management and comprehensive victim assistance to domestic trafficking survivors as well as to decrease vulnerability to sex and labor trafficking among at-risk populations, to include runaway and homeless youth, and victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
